Saunders Trades and Technical High School Students Serve Pi for Einstein’s Birthday
Students from School 5 and Westchester Hills School 29 are the guests at Saunders Trades and Technical High School for a celebration of Pi Day, commemorated by math enthusiasts around the world on March 14th to pay homage to the special number 3.14, also known as Pi.
The Saunders students will guide the School 5 and School 29 youngsters through a science marathon, leading them through hands-on experiments and joining them for pi-based math games. The young scientists will also have the opportunity to greet Saunders’ new robot, “Linda,” created for the upcoming US FIRST Robotics competition.
The day, which of course lends itself to all kinds of puns and lots of fun learning math, is also a celebration of the birth of Albert Einstein. Everyone will enjoy a slice of "pi" in his honor.
